What Remains (2019) is a homebrew NES game made in collaboration with Iodine Dynamics. It plays as an adventure-exploration narrative game, in which the player takes the role of a teenage girl Jenny in the year 1986. Jenny fights against misinformation and disinformation campaigns by using an NES cartridge to expose lies and propaganda. It contains 6 levels, dozens of NPCs, multiple mini-games, and a large number of full-screen cinematic scenes.
The game was written in a custom language developed in tandem. It is called co2 and is a Lisp-like language that compiles to 6502 assembly.
